Without great slopes or mountainous chains, Seville is a peaceful destination for the cyclist. Only the northern part of the province has more broken land. But the Valley and Depression of the Guadalquivir River mark the orography of the area, with extensive plains and low mountain, in addition to the existence of the famous Andalusian farmhouses of the Sevillian countryside, around localities such as Morón de la Frontera, Osuna or Utrera.
Nor can you stop pedaling for the capital and its surroundings, one of the cities of Spain better adapted to bicycle mobility, due to its extensive bike lanes network of more than 80 kilometers, both urban and outside the city.
Route of the Sierra Norte
We begin with this route through the north of the province, in the right margin of Guadalquivir and near the limit with Extremadura. The route runs through the green road of the Sierra Norte, without great orographic difficulties except some largest paths with stones. The journey passes through the mining preserve of Cerro del Hierro, the guest waterfalls, surrounded by lush vegetation, where you can bathe if the heat squeezes, or the artificial beach of San Nicolás del Puerto.
