What is the Tuvalum buyback guarantee?

The Buyback Guarantee is an exclusive Tuvalum program that applies to every bicycle purchased on Tuvalum from January 1, 2023.

It's very simple: when you buy a bicycle from our catalog, we give you up to 18 months to exchange it for another from our catalog (conditions apply).

It is an exclusive program we have developed to offer you a unique level of confidence and guarantees in the second-hand sector. Can you imagine being able to buy your bike today knowing you can return it at any time during the next 18 months? Thanks to this program, when you buy a Tuvabici you have our guarantee that we will buy it back from you at any time during those 18 months so you can exchange it for another. In practice, this means you only pay for the time you have been using your bike, recovering the rest of the money so you can choose another one.

Is the Buyback Guarantee the same as renting or leasing?

Unlike renting or leasing, you remain the owner of the bicycle from the moment you buy it until you decide to exchange it.

Tuvalum gives you visibility on the guaranteed buyback value of your bicycle at 18 months so you can buy with the confidence that you can return it. And the best part is that you are not obliged to exchange it, so if you like it you can keep it.

What are the conditions for executing the Buyback Guarantee?

The Tuvalum Buyback Guarantee only applies if you meet the following conditions:

- You purchased one of our Tuvabicis on our website from 01/01/2023 onwards
- The purchase date was 18 months ago or less.
- You still maintain the user account you used to make the original purchase.
- To benefit from Tuvalum's guaranteed buyback program, the bicycle must be delivered within 18 months of purchase.
- The buyback value will be issued in the form of credit to use in the Tuvalum store, both physical and online.
- The final credit will be issued after the bicycle has been received and inspected by Tuvalum. The amount will not be offered in cash, but will be applied as an equivalent discount during the purchase of a bicycle available on Tuvalum's website.
- The bicycle must not have suffered significant structural damage, such as dents or cracks (whether aluminum or carbon), regardless of whether they have been repaired or not.
- The bicycle must not have cracked or broken wheels, whether or not they have been repaired.
- The bicycle must maintain the original paint and decals from the purchase. It cannot have been repainted.
- The bicycle must have been maintained according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
- If upgrades have been made to the bicycle, the buyback price will be adjusted to take these changes into account.
- If the original parts that came with the bicycle at the time of purchase are removed and replaced with components or parts of lesser value, the buyback price will be adjusted accordingly.
- The purchase option by Tuvalum may be stopped (temporarily or indefinitely) at any time without prior notice due to excess product availability, consumer demand, processing capacity, or general market conditions that may determine Tuvalum's own purchasing capacity.
- Electric bicycles (both e-MTB and e-road) are not covered by the Buyback Guarantee.
- This offer applies to bicycles purchased through any Tuvalum domain.

How can I access this Buyback Plan?

It's very simple: you just have to write to recompra@tuvalum.com, sending us the details of the bicycle, explaining the maintenance performed and any upgrades you have made. To this, add the following photos as up-to-date as possible:


- left and right side
- close-up of the drivetrain and chainring(s)
- close-up of any damage it may have
