Our story is simple. We couldn't find any 100% safe website to buy and sell second-hand bikes, so we decided to create one. The vision was born in 2014, when we spoke with more than 300 cyclists and triathletes who had bought or sold a used bike online and discovered that most of them had bad experiences and had suffered some kind of scam. So from the start, it was clear to us that the goal had to be to build a 100% transparent, comfortable, and safe buying and selling system based on providing the best possible customer experience.

Our bikes are inspected and certified by specialist mechanics, so we offer a 1-year warranty on any of our refurbished bikes. We are proud to say that we have the largest and best-maintained own stock in Spain. Each bike has gone through a rigorous certification process and that's why we offer you up to 30 days for returns, because we are sure that what we deliver meets your expectations.

LISTENING TO CYCLISTS TO KEEP LEARNING
The company has evolved over the years thanks to constantly listening to cyclists like you. At the beginning, we were a Marketplace where individuals and professionals sold their bicycles, and Tuvalum was the security layer that managed the entire process: from payment and collection to logistics and the certification of the bicycle thanks to a partner workshop. But by listening to customers like you, we realized that this system had many inefficiencies because a seller could have sold the bicycle through another channel and forgotten to remove the ad. Or a bicycle owned by a seller could arrive in very poor condition. All of this caused frustration for the buyer, but also for the seller, making the process complex and full of friction. Additionally, each ad was generated by a third-party seller and sometimes the ads had photos that lowered our quality standards and the descriptions might not be 100% accurate.
So, we decided to reinvent ourselves and sell only bicycles owned by Tuvalum. Every listed bicycle has passed the highest quality standards for new bicycles and meets the Tuvalum Certified seal, synonymous with guarantee and quality. Each listed bicycle has catalog photos and video and contains a correct and accurate description. If you are interested in selling a bicycle, we are able to appraise and buy the bike in less than 48 hours and we offer a Trade-in Plan and buyback guarantee. The Trade-in Plan means you can trade in your bicycle as part of the payment for the purchase of a new one at Tuvalum, and the buyback guarantee means that Tuvalum commits to buying your bicycle within 18 months so you can buy another one. In this way, we continue and will always continue innovating.
