Cáceres is a province that encloses diversity of landscapes and land, in addition to cities and towns with a lot of charm and history. It is a cycotourist destination that we recommend especially. For the province it is part of the Ruta de la Plata, with perfectly marked green itineraries and specific MTB routes to be carried out in one or several days.
You can also discover the essence of the Extremaduran field by bicycle, either touring the Monfragüe park with its large buitres reserve or the most mountainous terrain of the Sierra de las Villuercas. The regions of Las Hurdes or La Vera have kilometers of paths in full mountain of great landscape value. You can also visit locations with a great artistic or cultural heritage such as Guadalupe, Plasencia or Hervás.
Route through the heart of the Villuercas
Affordable route but with several hard climbs, with start and end in Guadalupe. This route that we recommend is the long journey of the second edition of the march
Route through the heart of the Villuercas, held in 2018
. From the tourist town of Guadalupe, where you can visit the Royal Monastery of the Virgin of Guadalupe, a circular tour of the mountainous environment of the town, the Sierra de Villuercas, is made. The best example of the Mount Extremadura, with its cork oaks, holm oaks, pastures and a large amount of fauna: deer, wild boars and even Iberian lynx.
Route Vía Verde de la Plata
The Verde de la Plata road is one of the most attractive signaling for mountain cycling that can be performed in Cáceres. It is also quite affordable both in the physical and technical. It is located north of the province and crosses from Casas del Monte la Frontera Extremadura with Castilla y León to end in the Salamanca municipality of Navalmoral de Béjar.
The Ambroz Valley is covered, full of lush forests, and an old railway tunnel between Baños de Montemayor and the port of Béjar, conditioned for the passage of cyclists and hikers. A unique opportunity to know the places of the Sierra de Hervás and Béjar.

Back to Monfragüe Park
We propose a two -stage route that runs part of the
Monfragüe National Park, a reserve of high landscape and animal value that houses one of the largest concentrations of raptors of the entire Iberian Peninsula.
The route is divided into two stages, although it can be done in one day if you are at a great physical level. In total, 100 kilometers are toured with departure and arrival in Torrejón El Rubio at the gates of the National Park. We will travel the characteristics and jumps on the Tajo and Tiétar rivers, the pastures of the area and villages such as Villarreal de San Carlos and the reservoirs of Torrejón El Rubio, La Vid and Los Cañas.
