Bianchi presents the Specialissima Pantani 20 Anniversary
A special bicycle to commemorate a special cyclist. The bicycle in question is the new Specialissima Pantani 20 anniversary. The cyclist is none other than Marco Pantani, who in 1998 signed one of the most epic seasons in the history of world cycling by conquering the Tour of Italy and the Tour de France, a deed that have only achieved 7 runners to date.
The pirate achieved this double with a Bianchi Megapro XL ultralight with the light and yellow colors of Mercatone one.
Now the Italian manufacturer commemorates that deed by launching a special edition of its lighter climber bicycle: the Specialissima CV. The design of this version is a replica of the machine with which Pantani won the pink maglia of the rotation and the yellow jersey of the tour in 1998. Both the painting and the fork are hand painted with the same colors.
Specialissima Pantani 20 anniversary also has a badge of Bianchi equal to the one carried by the original direction pipe of the bicycle used by the pirate. Some commemorative logos have been added, such as the one who looks in the fork.
The Bianchi Specialissima It is one of the lightest competition bicycles on the market. The painting weighs only 780 grams and is made with the famous exclusive countervail carbon fibers of Bianchi, which according to the Italian brand absorb up to 80% of the vibrations generated by the irregularities of the road.
