Bianchi presents the Specialissima Pantani 20th Anniversary

Bianchi presenta la Specialissima Pantani 20 Aniversario

A special bicycle to commemorate a special cyclist. The bicycle in question is the new Specialissima Pantani 20th Anniversary. The cyclist is none other than Marco Pantani, who in 1998 signed one of the most epic seasons in the history of world cycling by conquering the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France, a feat that only 7 riders have achieved to date. The Pirate accomplished this double with a Bianchi MegaPro XL ultralight with the sky blue and yellow colors of Mercatone Uno.

Now the Italian manufacturer commemorates that feat by launching a special edition of its lightest climbing bike: the Specialissima CV. The design of this version is a replica of the machine with which Pantani won the Maglia Rosa of the Giro and the Yellow Jersey of the Tour in 1998. Both the frame and the fork are hand-painted with the same colors. The Specialissima Pantani 20th Anniversary also features a Bianchi badge

identical to the one on the original head tube of the bicycle used by the Pirate. Some commemorative logos have been added, such as the one on the fork. The Bianchi Specialissima
is one of the lightest competition bicycles on the market. The frame weighs just 780 grams and is made with the famous exclusive Countervail carbon fibers from Bianchi, which according to the Italian brand absorb up to 80% of the vibrations generated by road irregularities.
