A pioneer of Spanish cycling

Vitoria’s story began in the 1970s, when founder Juan Vitoria began competing in the sport and eventually reached the professional level in 1980. But his passion didn’t stop at racing—he wanted to build bikes that matched his high standards.

While living in Locarno, Switzerland, Juan worked with Sergio Golmeski, a frame painter who introduced him to the craft of bicycle manufacturing. In 1983, before returning to Spain, Juan bought professional-grade manufacturing equipment from the same Italian company that once supplied Eddy Merckx.

At a time when few in Spain were building high-end steel frames, Juan gained recognition for his work. In 1988, he founded Cycles Vitoria to take full control over the design, production, and quality of his frames.

Since then, the brand has evolved alongside the industry—moving from steel to aluminum, and finally to carbon fiber—while staying true to its commitment to craftsmanship.

In 2014, Juan's twin daughters, Esmeralda and Diana Vitoria, joined the business and brought a fresh perspective. Under their leadership, the company has renewed its image and expanded its product line with an emphasis on cutting-edge design, premium materials, and a personalized customer experience.
