Why choosing an Olympia bike is a great decision
Olympia bikes combine Italian craftsmanship, cutting-edge technology, and more than a century of cycling tradition. Known for their exceptional build quality, innovation, and award-winning design, Olympia has earned a reputation as one of the most prestigious names in European cycling.
From road and mountain bikes to high-performance racing machines, Olympia offers a wide selection of models designed to deliver both durability and speed. Their bikes have received multiple accolades—such as the Expobici Innovation Awards in 2013 and 2014—and are highly valued for their advanced frame construction and unique solutions tailored to passionate cyclists.
Olympia: a living piece of cycling history
Olympia was founded in 1893 by Carlo Borghi in Milan, near Porta Romana. While the company initially focused on bicycles and mopeds, Borghi eventually dedicated himself fully to cycling. Olympia jerseys graced the podium of the Giro d’Italia in 1940 (with Enrico Mollo) and claimed victory at the Milan–Turin in 1941 thanks to Pietro Chiappini.
In the 1960s, the company was passed on to the Fontana family, who relocated production to the Veneto region. Today, Olympia’s headquarters and production facility is based in Piove di Sacco (Padua), in a state-of-the-art 4,400 m² facility.
Despite the growth and modernization, Olympia has stayed true to its founding values: a passion for performance, innovation, and quality. The brand remains active in competition, particularly in MTB, with notable riders like Marzio Deho. Olympia continues to impress with bikes that combine elite performance with a timeless Italian soul.

Advantages of buying a refurbished Olympia bike
1. Save up to 60%
At Tuvalum, you can get a refurbished Olympia bike with savings of 20% to 60% off the original retail price. It’s a smart and affordable way to access top-tier cycling performance.
2. Certified and warranty
Buying second-hand from private sellers can be risky. Most platforms don’t guarantee the condition of the bike, leaving you exposed to hidden issues.
At Tuvalum, every bike is:
-
Inspected and refurbished by professional mechanics
-
Sold with a 1-year mechanical warranty
-
Backed by an 18-month buyback guarantee
-
Compliant with EU safety and quality standards for new bikes
3. Sustainable and planet-friendly
Choosing a refurbished bike helps reduce your carbon footprint. Manufacturing a new bike emits more than 300 kg of CO₂—but when you choose a pre-owned Olympia, you're contributing to a circular economy and making a more sustainable choice.
