Guadalajara is an ideal destination for cycling enthusiasts, offering spectacular routes for both mountain bikes and road bikes. The Sierra Norte, Alto Tajo, or the Páramos de la Alcarria are some of the most attractive spots to explore on two wheels. Its landscapes combine nature, history, and challenging routes suitable for different levels of difficulty.
For those who enjoy road cycling, the province has well-paved secondary roads that pass through charming villages like Brihuega, Atienza, or Molina de Aragón, where rural architecture and historical heritage add special value to each ride. La Alcarria, with its rolling terrain, is perfect for long-distance riding with impressive views.
If you prefer the adrenaline of mountain biking, Guadalajara is also a paradise. The northern area is mountainous and rugged, ideal for demanding routes with technical elevation changes. In the east-southeast, the Alto Tajo Natural Park offers dirt trails, forest paths, and spectacular descents in the heart of nature. The region of the Black Villages is another must-visit place for MTB, with varied terrain that crosses forests and valleys full of contrasts.
Whether on a mountain bike or a road bike, we recommend riding these routes in spring and autumn, when the weather is more favorable and the landscape is at its best. Discover Guadalajara by pedaling and enjoy one of the most fascinating cycling spots in Spain. 🚴♂️
