Los Alcornocales Natural Park

This natural park is one of the largest in Spain with 167,000 hectares that include 18 municipalities from the provinces of Cádiz and Málaga. It is one of the best examples of Mediterranean flora and fauna and contains vast forested areas, mainly of cork oaks. Among cork oaks and forest trails in excellent condition runs this marathon-type mountain bike route. It is 60 kilometers with more than 1,400 meters of positive elevation, recommended for riders with medium-high physical level and intermediate technical level. The route passes through areas of great natural beauty such as the Charco Redondo reservoir, the Puerto del Viento, or the Tajo de la Lata. Along the route, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Sierra de Montecoche.

Via Verde de la Sierra Route

This route along the Vía Verde de la Sierra de Cádiz is a long but manageable MTB ride, running along the northern edge of the Sierra de Grazalema, starting in Puerto Serrano and ending in Olvera. The route is an out-and-back between the two towns. This greenway has made use of an old railway line, adapting the track for mountain biking and hiking. The mountainous surroundings with holm oak and cork oak forests reach their full splendor in spring. An accessible route, with 375 m of positive elevation gain, which can be completed in a morning.

Enduro route in Tarifa

For the most radical bikers, we suggest an attractive Trail/Enduro route near Tarifa, specifically in the Sierra de Enmedio, between Valdevaqueros beach and Los Lances beach. It is a route with four technical descents but not excessively difficult. In addition, the trails are well maintained by local riders, with clean sections, berms, and jumps to increase adrenaline and fun. The route is circular and loop-shaped, so some sections are repeated on the connecting and climbing parts, while the four descents are very close to each other.
