Marcilla Xtrem BTT 2025: adrenaline on two wheels in Navarra
Next August 20, the Navarrese town of Marcilla will once again become the epicenter of mountain biking with a new edition of the Marcilla Xtrem BTT, a competitive ride suitable for cyclists of all levels. The race will start at 9:00 a.m. in front of Marcilla Castle, and will conclude at 3:00 p.m. Bib numbers can be picked up one hour before the start, at Plaza de España.
As is usual in this type of event, participants will have the option to choose between two different routes depending on their level and physical preparation, both designed for lovers of mountain bikes who enjoy pure MTB:
Long route – High level
-
Distance: 61 kilometers
-
Total elevation gain: approximately 900 meters
-
Difficulty: High
-
Type of route: Technical, with leg-breaking sections and mostly along trails
Short route – Easy level
-
Distance: 42 kilometers
-
Total elevation gain: 400 meters
-
Difficulty: Low-medium (with some technical sections)
-
Ideal for cyclists who are new to MTB rides or prefer a more relaxed pace
Both routes have two solid and liquid refreshment points (at kilometers 24.5 and 41.5 of the long route), as well as a final refreshment station at the finish line, with food and drinks to recover your strength.

The Marcilla Xtrem BTT is not only a perfect event for MTB lovers, but also a major date on the calendar for those who train with mountain bikes throughout the year. Last year's edition was won by Patxi Cia, world runner-up in the Master category, who has already confirmed his participation again this year. He will be joined by other top-level cyclists, as well as content creators and YouTubers specialized in cycling.
