AG2R Citroën Team: BMC
One more year, AG2R rides BMC bikes, although their models have undergone some changes in 2023. The Teammachine SLR01 LTD is a model inspired by the trend of designing bikes suitable for all terrains, in the style of the Tarmac from Specialized. A lightweight and aerodynamic model. The Timemachine TT is the time trial model. In all cases, Campagnolo groupsets and wheels are used: Super Record EPS transmissions and Bora tires. In fact, AG2R Citroën becomes the only World Tour team to race with Campagnolo in 2023. A collaboration that entails the use of the dazzling Campagnolo Bora wheels. It is the only men's WorldTour team that uses this transmission model. The collaboration with Italian brands is also reflected in the use of Pirelli tires and Fizik saddles, as well as in the team's official kit, which is provided by Rosti.
- Bicycle: BMC Teammachine SLR01 / Timemachine Road / Timemachine (TT).
- Groupset: Campagnolo Super Record EPS.
- Wheels: Campagnolo Bora WTO / WTO Ultra

Alpecin-Deceuninck: Canyon

Let's now talk about one of the teams that in 2023 debuts in the WorldTour category. Few would say they are making their debut in the first division, considering their recent trajectory, led by Mathieu van der Poel and Jasper Philipsen. The Belgian team repeats with Canyon, equipped with the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 R9200 groupset. The team continues to trust in the Aeroad CFR model for most races, both stage and one-day events. Likewise, they continue to use Shimano Dura-Ace groupsets and wheels. Vittoria tires and Selle Italia saddles complete the equipment.
- Bicycle: Canyon Ultimate CFR / Aeroad CFR / Speedmax CFR Disc (TT).

Astana Qazaqstan Team: Wilier

The Kazakh team repeats in 2023 with Wilier bikes, Shimano groupsets and Corima wheels, with their 47WS model as the flagship. The strong Italian character of this squad is also reflected in the use of Vittoria tires and Prologo saddles. The kit is also Italian, designed by Giordana. As for the chosen frames, the Zero SLR and Filante SLR remain for road stages, with the Turbine TT model reserved for time trials. The Zero SLR will be the protagonist in most races, with a spectacular weight-stiffness balance. All of them have undergone an attractive design change, although they are the same machines as in 2022.
- Bicycle: Wilier Triestina Filante SLR / 0 SLR / Turbine SLR (TT).
- Groupset: Shimano Dura-Ace.
- Wheels: Corima.

Bahrain-Victorious: Merida

Merida is once again the bicycle supplier for Bahrain-Victorious. In fact, it seems that the formula worked well in 2022, with 21 victories, including wins in the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France. However, perhaps Matej Mohorič's victory in Milan-San Remo was the most epic moment, thanks to his incredible descent of the Poggio, aided by a dropper seatpost and 180 mm brake discs. The riders combine the Reacto model with the Scultura model, with the Warp TT for time trials. Shimano Dura-Ace also remains as the team's group, with Vision wheels, Prologo saddles, and FSA finishing kit. The Reacto is the purely aero model that can be seen in almost all the major classics. Meanwhile, the Scultura is more designed for climbing, but without losing its aerodynamic touch. Let's say they are not completely opposite bikes, far from it. In both cases, they are equipped with 12-speed Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupsets, with power meters included. As for the wheels, the choice is Vision Metron, with different profiles depending on the terrain.
- Bicycle: Merida Scultura Disc Team / Reacto Disc Team / Time Warp TT.
- Groupset: Shimano Dura-Ace.
- Wheels: Vision Metron 45SL/60SL
- Clothing: Alé.

Bora-Hansgrohe: Specialized
The 2022 season was successful for the German team. Especially thanks to Jai Hindley's victory in the Giro. The Australian remains their leader in stage races, while sprinter Sam Bennett hopes to continue his two stage wins in the Vuelta, as he looks to recover his best form, which led him to win the green jersey in the 2020 Tour de France. Their bikes are already familiar to them, as Specialized is once again the team's sponsor. The American brand not only supplies them with the Tarmac SL7 and the Shiv bikes TT, but also the Roval wheels; a combination of Roval Rapide and Roval Alpinist, depending on the type of terrain. Specialized also provides the tires, saddles, and various finishing touches, alongside components from Shimano's PRO subsidiary. Unlike other teams, the Tarmac SL7 will be the only road bike, which demonstrates the versatility of this model. Shimano also supplies the groupset, the 12-speed Dura-Ace Di2. In fact, the Japanese brand remains the dominant option in the WorldTour, supplying 14 out of 18 teams. In short: here we tell you everything you need to know about the equipment of the WorldTour teams in 2023. Especially when it comes to bicycles.- Bicycle: Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL7 / Roubaix / Shiv TT.
- Groupset: Shimano Dura-Ace.

Cofidis: Look

One of the most stable structures in the international peloton is largely renewing its equipment. Let's say it is becoming more French. The De Rosa bikes from last year are being replaced with frames from the French brand Look. It's more of a reunion, as Look accompanied the team between 2009 and 2014. This was before the switch to Orbea and later to the Italian brand. The 785 Huez RS model is the natural choice for mountain stages, while the 795 Blade RS is the more aero version. The 796 Monoblade RS is the time trial machine. Cofidis is also switching from Campagnolo groupsets to Shimano, which also means that the Italian wheels have been replaced by French Corima wheels (belonging to the same group as Look). Astana Qazaqstan Team is the other WorldTour team using these wheels. Following this trend, the adopted tires are Michelin. The SRM Origin 9 crank-based power meter completes the bike's equipment.
- Bicycle: Look.
- Groupset: Shimano Dura-Ace.
- Wheels: Corima.
- Clothing: Van Rysel.

EF Education-EasyPost: Cannondale

Few changes in terms of sponsors during 2023. Once again, they ride Cannondale bikes, equipped with Shimano groupsets, Vision wheels, and Prologo saddles. But despite the continuity, there are still some noteworthy developments. In 2023, the North American team switches the SuperSix Evo 3 for the Evo 4, a natural evolution of the Cannondale model. Without representing a radical change, the bike offers some updates: a better aerodynamic coefficient, a lighter front end, and a cable routing system compatible with both integrated and conventional handlebars. An extra advantage for riders seeking a perfectly precise fit. The bike is equipped with a Shimano Dura-Ace group, FSA K-Force crankset, 4iii power meter, and Vision wheels. In addition to the Evo, the team's aero bike is again the SystemSix, while the SuperSlice is chosen for time trials.
- Bicycle: Cannondale SuperSix EVO / SystemSix / SuperSlice (TT).
- Groupset: Shimano Dura-Ace Di2.
- Wheels: Vision Metron.
- Clothing: Rapha.

Groupama-FDJ: Lapierre
Groupama-FDJ is one of the teams that is keeping the same equipment in 2023 as the previous year. For the French team, now in its 28th season, this means using Lapierre bikes and Shimano groupsets and wheels. Shimano Dura-Ace, of course. The choice of models also remains unchanged, as riders can choose between Xelius and Aircode DRS frames, depending on the stage profile or carrera. The Xelius is the most widely used, given its versatility for all terrains, further improved by the renewal of its carbon structure in 2022. This model also stands out for its seat stays, which connect directly to the superior tube, instead of the seat tube. This design aims to improve comfort. It is a bike particularly suited for climbing, while the Aircode DRS frame is designed to shine on flat terrain and in sprint finishes. The team's clothing has undergone more changes. Although the color palette is still inspired by the French tricolor flag, the former predominantly white kit has been replaced by a dark blue one, similar to the jersey of the French national team of soccer.

- Groupset: Shimano Dura-Ace.

Ineos Grenadiers: Pinarello

(Image credit: CAuldPhoto / Ineos Grenadiers)
Pinarello continues to supply Ineos bicycles, with the all-rounder Dogma F and the time trial machine Bolide TT, recently updated. Given the presence in the team of the current Hour Record holder, Fillipo Ganna, this last model receives more attention than other bikes in its segment within the WorldTour. Shimano continues with the team, supplying 12-speed Dura-Ace Di2 groupsets and wheels. However, Princeton Carbonworks and AeroCoach are suppliers for the time trial bikes, and may also play a role in some road races. Otherwise, Continental and Fizik remain, handling tires and saddles, respectively. In 2022, the British squad changed clothing sponsor: they switched from Castelli kit to the Belgian brand Bioracer. In 2023 this collaboration continues, but with a significant change in colors, which has caused some controversy due to its similarity with Bahrain Victorious. Blue has been replaced by a predominantly red and orange jersey, and navy blue shorts. In the area of minor changes, we can also highlight the change of sunglasses sponsor. Oakley is replaced by SunGod.
- Bicycle: Pinarello Dogma F / Bolide F (TT).
- Groupset: Shimano Dura-Ace.
- Wheels: Shimano Dura-Ace / Princeton Carbonworks.
- Clothing: Bioracer.

Intermarché-Circus-Wanty: Cube

After their surprising 2022 season, the Belgian team returns with a name change, but without major changes in their equipment. Memorable are the huge victories of Eritrean Biniam Girmay in Gent-Wevelgem and in the tenth stage of the Giro d'Italia, or the wins of Jan Hirt and Louis Meintjes in Grand Tours. Girmay and Meintjes remain on the team, while Hirt has signed with fellow Belgians Soudal-Quick Step. Cube , Shimano, Newman and Prologo remain as suppliers. The Litening C:68X model from Cube is the aero bike and the team's most iconic model. In addition to other virtues, it stands out for its elegant integration of fork, stem, handlebar, and seatpost. The wheels are from the German brand Newmen, while the chosen groupset is Shimano Dura-Ace. The Aerium C:68 is the bike used for time trials.

Jumbo-Visma: Cervélo

(Image credit: Cervelo / Jumbo Visma)
Why change what works perfectly? Jumbo was the dominant team in 2022, achieving 48 victories, including Paris-Roubaix, Dauphiné, Paris-Nice, and Tour de France, among others. Cervélo, therefore, remains. Wout van Aert, Jonas Vingegaard, Primož Roglič, and company can choose between the updated S5, R5, and P5 (time trial bike) models, depending on the terrain and discipline. The most aero model, the S5, debuted at the last Tour de France, although the climbing version (R5) was Jonas Vingegaard's favorite for the mountain stages. What does change is the groupset. Shimano is out, being replaced by SRAM and its wireless eTap system. The Dutch team also mounts new wheels: Reserve, manufactured by Santa Cruz. Despite the changes, it is expected that this team will once again set the pace on the WorldTour calendar.

Movistar: Canyon
Year one after Alejandro Valverde for Movistar, the longest-running team in professional cycling, whose origins date back to 1980, under the sponsorship of Reynolds-Benotto. Bala leaves, but the team's sponsors remain loyal to the telephone squad. This means the use of Canyon bikes, in their Aeroad CFR and Ultimate models. CFR (more for climbing) for road races and stages. The Speedmax CFR is the time trial machine. As for the groupset, Movistar fits its Canyon with the wireless SRAM Red eTap AXS. Zipp wheels and Fizik saddles complete the equipment. The only notable change comes from the clothing sponsor. In 2023, Gobik takes over from La Passione. The team also reached a four-year agreement with the Spanish brand Blub Lube, which provides the team's chain lubricant and bike cleaning products.- Bicycle: Canyon Aeroad CFR / Speedmax CF SLX (TT).

Soudal-Quick Step: Specialized
In 2023, the Belgian team experienced its eighth name change. Soudal becomes the main sponsor of Soudal-Quickstep for 2023. Nevertheless, it remains one of the most solid structures in the WorldTour. Specialized returns in full force as the supplier of their bikes, Roval wheels, saddles, tires, and finishing kits. Shimano and Castelli also continue in 2023 as suppliers of groupsets and kits, respectively. Without a doubt, the Belgian team will hope to repeat the successes achieved in 2022. Especially thanks to the brilliant Remco Evenepoel, who had an unforgettable season, with his victory in the Vuelta, the win in two Monuments, and the rainbow jersey.- Bicycle: Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL7 / Roubaix / Shiv (TT).

Arkea-Samsic: Bianchi

The French team debuts in the top category with many changes, both in its lineup and its equipment. Canyon leaves sponsorship and Bianchi arrives, marking the return of the Italian brand to the highest pro level. The riders have three options: the Oltre RC, the most aerodynamic model; the Specialissima , designed for climbing; and the time trial model, Aquilla TT. The launch of the Oltre RC was especially celebrated in 2022, partly thanks to the novelty of its aggressive aerodynamic shapes and its Formula 1-inspired aerodynamic design, especially evident in the head tube. It is true that the ventilation grills are not UCI legal, so the team will have to race without them, given the alleged watt savings they provide. The group set is provided by Shimano, as are the wheels, with the Dura Ace 9200 model (which the Arkea riders were already familiar with) and the Vision range for time trials. As for other components, the Selle Italia saddle and Continental tires are noteworthy. Regarding clothing, the collaboration with the French brand Ekoi continues.

Team DSM: Scott

The Dutch team aims to surpass the ten victories achieved in 2022, with Thymen Arensmen’s stage win at the Vuelta as the highlight. Unfortunately for them, the talented youngster has signed with Ineos. Thus, Roman Bardet consolidates himself as the undisputed leader of the youngest team in the category. Scott returns as sponsor, with the Addict RC bikes as the main stars. In fact, the team will continue to ride Scott until 2025. Shimano also returns, supplying Dura-Ace Di2 groupsets and C36, C50, and C60 wheels, depending on rim width. All are fitted with Vittoria tires. The finishing kit is Syncros (owned by Scott), while the Italian brand Nalini provides the riders’ apparel.

Jayco AlUla: Giant

The Australian team formerly known as Team BikeExchange-Jayco returns in 2023 as Jayco AlUla, but the suppliers remain unchanged. The formula composed of Giant , Cadex and Shimano, which already achieved success in the form of 22 team victories in 2022 (six of them in Grand Tours). The one achieved at the Tour by Michael Matthews was memorable, masterfully holding off Alberto Bettiol from EF. Or the surprising victory by Simon Yates in the individual time trial at the Giro, which he followed with another stage win a week later in Turin. Once again, the team will be able to choose on the road between the Giant Propel Advanced SL and the TCR Advanced SL, with the Trinity TT reserved for time trials. All of them are equipped with Shimano and Cadex wheels and saddles. Interestingly, both the Propel and the TCR still use an integrated seatpost, something that is now rarely seen on high-end road bikes.

Trek-Segafredo: Trek

Trek adopts in 2023 the renewed version of the aero model Trek Madone, which broke the mold in 2022. Presented at the Tour de France, its new IsoFlow technology was one of the innovations of the year: an open gap in the seat tube area for better aerodynamics and weight reduction. The sprinter for Trek-Segafredo, Mads Pedersen, who played a decisive role in the bike's design, won stage 13 of the French race, confirming in some way the virtues of the bike. The Madone returns for 2023. Also returning are an updated Domane and the brand's most climber-focused model, Emonda. All three are available to the riders. SRAM is once again the groupset supplier, equipping the bikes with its Red eTap AXS. Bontrager, the subsidiary of Trek, handles the wheels and tires, as well as the saddles and various finishing touches.

UAE Team Emirates: Colnago

(Image credit: Colnago / UAE Team)
This year seems to be important for the United Arab Emirates team. While they matched Jumbo-Visma for victories in 2022, losing the TdF to Jonas Vingegaard must have been a bitter pill to swallow, particularly with Tadej Pogacar looking to complete a hat-trick of victories in the carrera, the world's biggest stage race. They will enter 2023 with revenge on their minds and a new bike to start with, the Colnago V4RS. Apparently, it is the prototype that Pog rode for much of the season, now officially released as the reboot of the bike with which he won his
