About MMR
What makes MMR Bikes special?
MMR Bikes is a relatively new bicycle brand that has gained well-deserved recognition in Spain as one of the leading manufacturers, especially in the field of cross-country mountain biking.
MMR bikes are synonymous with quality. Despite their relatively recent presence in the market, the brand has extensive experience in the field of competition, both in road cycling and mountain biking.
These bikes have a competitive DNA and have achieved notable successes in national and international championships. What can you expect when buying an MMR bike? Primarily, reliability and a very attractive quality-to-price ratio.
A refurbished MMR, the best option
Are you considering buying an MMR bike? Whether it's for road, mountain biking, gravel, or electric biking, you can buy it new. However, the smartest decision is to purchase a refurbished, pre-owned MMR bike. This option provides savings, the safety and trust of our Tuvalum Certified quality label, and the environmental impact offered by our circular economy model.
Buying a refurbished MMR bike from Tuvalum means acquiring a reliable bike with the confidence and peace of mind provided by our warranty system, all while saving 20% to 60% compared to its new price.
At Tuvalum, you can buy your refurbished MMR bike without leaving your home. Remember that we don't just sell used bikes, but each one has been checked, inspected, and certified by top mechanics to ensure that it meets the same technical requirements for safety and material quality as those imposed by the European Union for new bikes.
In our reconditioning workshop, all our bikes undergo the most comprehensive revision in the market. Find the MMR bike that best matches your goals, needs, and budget with just one click and have it delivered to your home in 3 to 5 days.
Where do MMR bicycles come from?
MMR is a Spanish bicycle brand that was established in 2008 in the city of Avilés, in the Asturias region. In reality, the brand already existed since the 1980s, but it was in 2008 that it transformed itself into a manufacturer of high-performance bicycles.
The acronym of its name stands for Machines Made for Racing, which highlights two fundamental objectives for MMR: the first is to produce competition bicycles capable of winning titles at the highest level. The second, as indicated by its name in English, is to become an international reference.
The main models of MMR Bikes
Looking for a competitively priced road bike? We recommend the MMR Adrenaline.
Prefer a full-suspension cross-country mountain bike? Choose the MMR Kenta.
If you're one of those who still enjoy riding and exploring off-road trails with a hardtail, then we recommend the MMR Rakish, a cross-country bike that has become an icon of mountain biking in Spain, thanks to its success in national championships and major global circuits.
Fernando Alonso and Luis Enrique's bikes
MMR is the bike brand used by athletes such as Fernando Alonso, Luis Enrique, and Carlos Sainz. The Formula 1 driver has been the ambassador of the Asturian brand, which paid tribute to him by launching two versions of its MMR Rakish and MMR Adrenaline SL models, the Fernando Alonso editions.
Luis Enrique, former football player and former coach of FC Barcelona and the national team, is another illustrious Asturian athlete who has chosen an MMR bike to compete at the amateur level. Luis Enrique used an MMR Kenta SL to participate in the Cape Epic.
MMR has also designed a special limited and numbered edition of its MMR Kenta for rally driver Carlos Sainz. The brand was inspired by the driver's victories in the Dakar Rally.
MMR in the world of competition
Seeing an MMR bike on the top step of the podium at a mountain bike championship is far from insignificant. In 2014, the brand created the MMR Factory Racing Team with the aim of making a mark in the mountain biking world, and they succeeded. The MMR team has been one of the dominant forces in the Spanish mountain bike championships, with renowned riders such as Carlos Coloma, David Valero, and Sergio Mantecón, all shining on MMR bikes.
At the international level, Carlos Coloma won the bronze medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics riding an MMR Rakish.
In the international peloton, several UCI road cycling teams have ridden with an MMR bike, such as Caja Rural Seguros RGA and Nesta-MMR.
Although it is a less-known category, MMR also offers high-quality gravel and cyclocross bikes that, like the brand's mountain bikes, have been tested in high-level competitions. The MMR CX team has been led by Javier Ruiz de Larrinaga and Aida Nuño, both multiple Spanish cyclocross champions.
In women's cycling, MMR Bikes has been a partner of the Lointek team, particularly during the period when Sheyla Gutiérrez, the best Spanish cyclist in recent years, was part of the team.
